Italian Market / Tuscan Kitchen

Part of Roshco Inc.'s "Corner Grocery" giftware line — a collection of Italian-themed kitchen ceramics dressed up in faux-vintage grocery labels. The Napoli pasta canister and Parmigiano Pagano cheese shaker were designed as a pair, playing off the romance of an old-world Italian market. Mass-produced but full of personality, these pieces found their way into kitchens across the country during the late '90s Tuscan decor craze. This set still has its original Corner Grocery / Roshco Inc. stickers on the bottom of both pieces.

Care Hand wash only — do not microwave or dishwasher. Best suited for dry storage or decorative display. The pasta canister shows crazing in the white glaze (cosmetic, not structural). Avoid prolonged contact with liquids.

If your kitchen's ever felt like it needed a little more personality — maybe a hint of a Tuscan hillside, or at least the suggestion of one — this pair ought to do the trick.

From Roshco's "Corner Grocery" giftware line (late '90s to early 2000s), this two-piece ceramic set plays up the Italian market theme with labels that look like they were peeled right off a grocer's shelf in some imaginary Naples side street. They weren't, of course. But they're charming enough that you won't mind.

What You Get

Napoli Pasta Canister — A tall cylindrical jar with a white ceramic knob lid, wrapped in a colorful label featuring a pastoral Tuscan scene — farmhouse, rolling hills, the works. Reads "Grade A Pasta," "100% Pure Semolina Wheat Pasta Finest Quality," "Imported from Italia." It's earnest in the best possible way. Stands about 11" tall.

Parmigiano Pagano Cheese Shaker — A shorter ceramic shaker topped with a perforated stainless steel lid. The label features an illustration of a parmesan wedge and the reassuring claim "Una Buona Qualita / A Good Quality." Approximately 5.5" tall.

Condition Notes

The pasta canister has visible crazing — that fine crackle pattern in the white glaze — on the back and sides. No chips, no cracks, lid's in good shape. It's cosmetic, and honestly, on a kitchen shelf it just looks like character.

The cheese shaker came through without any crazing at all. Metal lid is clean and works the way it should.

Both pieces are decorative and best suited for dry storage or display. They'll hold pasta and grated cheese just fine for countertop duty, but we wouldn't run them through the dishwasher or trust them with anything liquid.
