Customer Bill of Rights

Every piece we sell has a story — and so does every person who buys one. This document is our promise to you, plainly stated. We don’t bury the important things in fine print, and we don’t make promises we can’t keep. What follows is what you can expect from us, every time.

Article I

Honest Representation

We research every piece with care and describe what we find — and what we don’t. We can’t promise to always be right about age, origin, or provenance, but we can promise to be diligent and to represent accurately what we know and what we’re uncertain about. If a detail is our best assessment rather than established fact, we’ll say so. You deserve to make your decisions based on the truth, not a sales pitch.

Article II

You’ll Always Know What You’re Getting

Most of what we sell is genuinely vintage or antique. Some pieces are what we call “Vintage Inspired” — newer items made in the spirit of an earlier era. These are always clearly marked so there’s never a question about what you’re buying. We don’t blur that line.

Article III

Accurate Photography

Our photos show the actual item you’ll receive, including signs of age, wear, or imperfection. We don’t retouch flaws out of existence. Minor wear consistent with age isn’t a defect — it’s part of the story. If something has notable damage or repair, we’ll call it out in the listing.

Article IV

Fair, Transparent Pricing

The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping is a flat rate set by item type, published in our Shipping Policy — no hidden fees, no surprise charges, and no games with inflated-then-discounted pricing.

Article V

Thoughtful Packaging

These pieces survived decades — sometimes centuries — before they reached us. We pack them like they matter, because they do. Every item is wrapped and cushioned for safe transit, with the same care we’d want if we were on the receiving end.

Article VI

Prompt, Respectful Communication

When you reach out, you’ll hear back from a real person. We answer questions honestly, respond in a timely manner, and treat every inquiry — whether it’s about a $20 brooch or a $500 ring — with the same attention.

Article VII

Safe Transactions

Your payment is processed securely through Stripe. We never see your full card number, and we don’t store payment information on our servers. Your financial details stay between you and the payment processor, as they should.

Article VIII

Your Privacy, Respected

We collect only what we need to fulfill your order, and we never sell your information to anyone. A handful of companies help us complete a sale — the processor who takes your payment, the carrier who brings your parcel — and each receives only what its part of the job requires, nothing more. Your inbox won’t fill up with things you didn’t ask for. Our Privacy Policy names every one of them and says exactly what they see.

Article IX

A Fair Resolution

If an item arrives damaged in shipping or is materially different from what we described, we want to know — and we’ll make it right. We ask that you contact us within three business days of delivery so we can address the problem promptly. We stand behind our descriptions, and we take responsibility when something goes wrong.
