A soft seafoam glaze over an urn that knows how to hold a room. The body swells full and ovoid, then draws down to a footed base, with a short waisted neck and a rolled collar rim up top. Two little scroll handles sit at the shoulders, and a raised floral medallion blooms on both the front and the back. The distressing is the whole point here — dark umber rubbed deliberately into the recesses of the relief, cream body showing through at the rim, the handle tips, and along the foot. That's a designed cottage look, not a hard life. It stands about 11 inches tall and 7 across, which is a real presence on a mantel or an entry table.
  • Glazed ceramic, glossy aqua/seafoam finish
  • Amphora form: ovoid body, footed base, waisted neck, rolled collar rim, two scroll handles
  • Applied floral relief medallion on front and back
  • Intentional farmhouse distressing — umber accents and rubbed-through cream edges
  • 11" tall x 7" diameter
  • Felt bumper feet on the base; best for dried stems, faux florals, or standing on its own
Condition: Intact and sound — no chips, cracks, or repairs. The speckling and worn edges are the intended finish. Interior's clean and it's ready to display.

Aqua Distressed Ceramic Urn Vase — 11" Two-Handled Amphora with Floral Relief

Contemporary

Cottage Farmhouse Urn Vase

This urn comes to us from a Hobbsville, North Carolina estate, and from someone who plainly knew a good vessel when they saw one. The home was full of vases — a real collector's run of them, gathered over years by an eye that understood proportion and stance. You can tell a lot about a person by what they choose to keep on the mantel, and whoever kept this house chose shapes that carry themselves well. A collection like that isn't accumulation. It's taste, practiced until it becomes second nature.

This piece fits right in with that sensibility. It's a contemporary decorative urn, made to wear a cottage-antiqued finish, and it earned its place among older and finer things because it holds a graceful line — the same quality the collector clearly prized above a maker's mark or a date. There's something to be said for a room where every vessel was chosen for how it stands, not what it's worth on paper. This one stood among that company and held its own. We're glad to pass it along with a little of that context intact, to someone who'll set it down in the right spot and know, without being told, exactly why it works there.

Materials Glazed ceramic, glossy aqua/seafoam finish, with an applied floral relief and hand-antiqued detailing.
Care Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it dry — the felt-footed base isn't made for standing water. For fresh stems, tuck a slim liner inside; dried and faux need nothing.

Some vessels earn their keep just by standing there. This one does. It's a glazed ceramic urn in a soft aqua-seafoam that catches light without shouting about it — full through the body, tapered to a footed base, finished with a short waisted neck and a rolled collar rim. A pair of small scroll handles curl at the shoulders, more grace note than grip. On both the front and the back, a floral medallion sits in raised relief, and this is where the finish does its work. Dark umber has been rubbed into the recesses on purpose, so the petals read deep and shadowed, and the high points at the rim, the handle tips, and the foot-line have been rubbed through to a cream body underneath. It's the shabby-chic, cottage-farmhouse look done with a light hand — antiqued detailing by design, not the scars of a long life. If you like a piece that reads a little weathered without actually being worn out, this is that. At 11 inches tall and 7 across, it holds its ground on a mantel, an entry console, or the center of a table. The base wears felt bumper feet, so we'd keep it dry and let it do its job with dried stems, faux florals, or nothing at all — an urn this shapely makes a fine standalone. If you're set on fresh cuttings, drop a slim liner or insert inside and you're covered.
  • Glazed ceramic with a glossy aqua/seafoam finish
  • Amphora-form silhouette: ovoid body, footed base, short waisted neck, rolled collar rim
  • Two scroll/loop handles at the shoulders
  • Raised floral relief medallion, front and back
  • Intentional distressed finish — umber accents in the relief, rubbed-through cream at rim, handles, and foot
  • Dimensions: 11" tall x 7" diameter
  • Felt bumper feet on the base — best kept dry; ideal for dried or faux stems, or as a sculptural piece on its own (use a slim liner for fresh stems)
Condition: Intact and sound throughout — no chips, cracks, or repairs. The dark speckling and worn edges are the intended distressed finish, not damage. The interior is clean, and it's ready to display straight out of the box.
