Thai Princess / Princess Harem Cocktail Ring
The Thai "Princess Harem" ring — also known as the Thai Princess — is one of the most joyful genres in Thai silver jewelry. These are wide, ornate sterling bands crowded with a rainbow of genuine semi-precious stones, hand-set in 925 silver and surrounded by pierced openwork: scrolls and little hearts threaded between the gems, with engraved, textured shoulders carrying the pattern down each side. The whole composition is built for color and for the density of the handwork.
This example carries the full Princess Harem palette across a double row of oval-cut stones — blue topaz and sapphire, citrine, garnet, amethyst, and peridot. The recessed silver wears an antiqued, oxidized finish, an intentional design feature that darkens the openwork and throws every scroll into relief against the bright raised metal. Inside the band are the marks THAILAND and SX 925, the sterling stamp alongside the maker code. A substantial statement band that rewards a close look.
