Contemporary Gold-Tone Very Good
JWLE-IN-0005
A confession: these aren't vintage. But they speak the language fluently. These bold diamond-shaped drop earrings from Heidi Klum's Wildlife collection for QVC deliver the same striking geometric design as their pewter-tone sibling — pyramid studs, woven mesh, a sunburst pattern hidden on the reverse — but in a warm, antiqued champagne-gold finish that shifts the whole mood. Where the pewter pair broods, this one glows. Substantial without being heavy, confident without being flashy. Modern licensed jewelry that earned its place.

Highlights

  • From the Wildlife by Heidi Klum QVC collection, circa 2012–2016

Heidi Klum 'Wildlife' Diamond-Shape Drop Earrings — Gold Tone, QVC Collection

Circa 2012 – 2016

Modern Licensed Costume Jewelry, Global Bohemian

From a Hobbesville, North Carolina estate — a lifelong collector who worked in high-end jewelry retail and had a magpie's eye for anything that caught her attention, old or new. These Heidi Klum 'Wildlife' drops aren't vintage; they're from Klum's QVC collection, produced sometime between 2012 and 2016. But they've got a boldness that earns their place in any jewelry box.

Diamond-shaped drops in an antiqued champagne-gold finish, with a textured mesh front studded with tiny pyramids and a sunburst pattern on the reverse. The kind of detail you don't expect from licensed television jewelry. Marked © HEIDI KLUM / China. Condition is very good — she clearly liked them but wasn't hard on them.

Materials Base metal with antiqued champagne-gold finish, woven mesh texture, pyramid stud accents, clear plastic disc back closures
Care Store in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent surface scratching. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or polishing compounds, which may strip the antiqued finish. Avoid contact with water, perfume, and hairspray. The clear plastic disc backs can become brittle over time — handle gently when removing.

Not Vintage — But It Earned Its Spot

We'll say it plainly: these earrings aren't vintage. They're from Heidi Klum's Wildlife costume jewelry collection, produced for QVC sometime between 2012 and 2016. Licensed, mass-produced in China, sold through a home shopping channel. Not the origin story we typically tell. But we keep coming back to these. If you've seen the pewter-tone pair in our shop, you already know the design — and this gold-tone version proves how much a finish can transform a piece. Same bold diamond silhouette, same layered textures, completely different energy. The warm, antiqued champagne-gold tone gives these earrings a richness that reads almost Byzantine — muted and burnished rather than bright or brassy, with the kind of soft warmth that looks like it's been loved for decades. They pair naturally with amber, tortoiseshell, warm wood tones, or that favorite camel blazer you reach for every autumn. The construction is identical to the pewter pair and worth appreciating on its own terms. The front face layers woven mesh against raised pyramid studs and a beaded border — the kind of tactile, dimensional detail that invites a second look. Turn them over and you'll find a radiating sunburst pattern on the reverse, along with the © HEIDI KLUM / China stamps clearly embossed on both earrings — a design choice that most costume jewelry wouldn't bother with but that means these look considered from every angle. The round beaded dome post tops sit comfortably, and the weight is substantial enough to feel intentional without pulling. Heidi Klum launched Wildlife through QVC in late 2011, and the collection ran for several years. It drew inspiration from global flea market finds — which, if we're being honest, is basically what we do here every day. The line originally retailed from $30 to $200 depending on the piece, bringing runway-scale boldness to accessible price points. These diamond-shape drops were offered in multiple finishes, and the champagne gold was among the most popular.

Both earrings are present, matching, and structurally complete — no chips, cracks, breaks, bends, or missing elements.

A note on what this is

This is modern licensed costume jewelry, not a vintage or antique piece. We've included it in our collection because its design sensibility — the geometric textures, the architectural weight, the flea-market-treasure inspiration behind the whole Wildlife line — genuinely resonates with the pieces we usually carry. We'd rather be upfront about provenance and let the design speak for itself. We think it speaks pretty well.
