Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026.

The Vintage Rose Boutique is a small, family-run shop. We collect the information we need to sell you a piece and get it to your door safely — and not much else. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who We Are

The Vintage Rose Boutique LLC
514 Holden Forest Drive, Youngsville, NC 27596
[email protected]

Our website is https://vintagerose.us. We are an online shop only; we do not operate a retail storefront.

What We Collect

When you place an order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the details of what you bought.

When you pay: your card details are entered into a secure form and transmitted directly to our payment processor. Card numbers are never stored on our servers and we cannot see them.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to put in the message — typically your name, email address, and your question.

When you join our mailing list: your email address and name. This is always optional and the box is never pre-checked.

When you browse: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the site.

How We Use It

  • To process your order, take payment, and ship your item
  • To email you about that order — confirmation, tracking, and any problems
  • To answer your questions
  • To send you our newsletter, if and only if you asked for it
  • To calculate sales tax and shipping costs correctly
  • To understand which pages people find useful, so we can improve the shop
  • To measure whether our advertising works
  • To meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We have never sold customer data to anyone, and we never will. We do not trade, rent, or otherwise make your personal information available to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who We Share It With

Running an online shop means a handful of specialist companies handle parts of the process on our behalf. Each of them receives only what they need to do their job, and each is bound to use it only for that purpose.

  • Taking your payment — Stripe, through WooCommerce Payments. Receives your card details, name, and billing address in order to charge you.
  • Printing your shipping label — Pirate Ship. Receives your name and shipping address so we can buy postage.
  • Delivering your parcel — the carrier that carries it. Your name and address are on the label, and the carrier uses them to bring the package to your door and to provide tracking.
  • Working out sales tax — WooCommerce Tax, operated by Automattic. Receives your address to look up the correct tax rate for where you live.
  • Sending our newsletter — MailerLite. Receives your email address and name only if you opted in.
  • Measuring the site and our ads — Google, through Google Analytics and Google Ads. Receives information about how the site is used and which visits lead to a purchase.
  • Running the website — our hosting provider, which operates the site and the mail server that sends your order emails.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, to remember you if you create an account, and to measure how the site is used. Cart and account cookies are necessary for the shop to function.

We also run Google Analytics and a Google Ads tag. These tell us which pages people find useful and whether our advertising is working. They may also allow Google to show you our products again elsewhere on its advertising network after you have visited us.

Analytics and advertising cookies are not necessary for the shop to work. You can block them in your browser, or opt out of Google’s advertising personalisation at myadcenter.google.com, without affecting your ability to browse or buy.

How Long We Keep It

Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe — every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. Contact form messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted.

Your Rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Send you a copy of it
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it, where we are not legally required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing email

Email [email protected] and we will take care of it. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will never affect how we treat you as a customer.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and payment details go straight to our payment processor without touching our servers. No system is perfect, but we take the protection of your information seriously and keep the shop’s software up to date.

Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly.
